Liberty — Mandolin Tab
Mandolin tab and sheet music with synced audio · John Dickinson and Arthur Lee, · Key of D · 120 BPM · 4/4 time · Revolutionary war · Beginner
Chords used in this arrangement: D, G, A.
Historians trace the melody to a French-Canadian reel known as Reel de Ti-Jean, which travelled across the Atlantic to the British Isles, where it took on new names—Little John's Reel and The Tipsy Parson. When it returned to America, it found a home in regional traditions on both ends of the country's musical map: contra dance fiddlers in the Northeast made it their own, while Cajun musicians in Louisiana reworked it as a two-step.
